Between
the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Rinascimento,
Faenza knows a period of great splendor and remarkable
reputation, thanks to the lordship of the Manfredi. The higher
expression that blooms in this time in our city is the Art of the
Ceramics, disseminated then in all Europe and today celebre all
over
the world. The symbol more famous than such art, reproduced in
boccali and plates and symbol of our wine cellar, is the Astorre.
It has intentional like its coat of arms Astorgio II Manfredi,
Getlteman of
Faenza from 1448 to 1468.
